The Photoshop perspective lesson was interesting, but I amdefinitely going to need to practice with it.  There is alot of things to remember this semester!

Trying to figure out how to add pictures to the blog that aren’t giant sized or attached files….

Last week was good to get done and get the first crack of the design under our belts.  It was good to hear all of the comments from the panel.  They had some good suggestions,  “Water is too clean, too literal etc.” which I agree with, but i am not sure sure how to implement them, given that the relationship with water is essentially the concept.  Perhaps I can change up the land form, it appears too broad after going out to the site on Monday and staking it out.  I definitely want to make it more hard lined, but not sure if I should scrap it all together, given the panels comments.  Hopefully when I talk to Brad it will become clear.

Forgot to mention that Wikipedia was a b*tch.  Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest.

Last week was good to get back into the swing of designing again.  The different models took a lot of time but i think it was worth it, to help get the juices flowing.  After getting some good feedback I know I need to make some adjustments and better resolve some issues with the design.  Particulary the landform shaping in relation the site and the landforms interaction between the more rigid and the naturalistic elements, i.e. steps versus hill.  Also maybe changing up the water feature to incorporate more of a runnel  and/or a naturalistic shape.   Not sure yet.

Overall I think it was a good start for all of us.  Next week should be interesting with the drawings, which are not my strength, on the the agenda.  At the very least it will be an opportunity for me to practice drawing and learn some new perspective techniques.
